Customer Service & Shipping rates
These customer service terms apply to orders placed on www.onthepigsback.ie
Orders can be placed online 24 hours a day, seven days a week via our web site.
Order by 9am Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday for collection and delivery the following day subject to courrier.
All orders over €120 are Free of delivery charge.
From €50 to €120, delivery Nationwide is €10 (not suitable for pastries, fragile and frozen products) - Mezze box only available for collection.
Minimum orders for delivery is €50, no minimum orders if you collect from our Cafe-Deli in Douglas.
Orders received later than 9am on Thursday, won't be processed before the following week, (no delivery Saturdays and Mondays) unless collected from our shop- Deli in Douglas of course.
(Orders won't be accepted without a valid mobile number for the receiver. A Eircode is preferred. Please make sure you are available at the delivery address for reception of the parcel.)
We accept the following credit cards on Paypal: Mastercard, Visa , Discover, and American Express. You may pay by Paypal. All prices are subject to change without notice. Catalog prices do not reflect the cost of delivery. We do not ship C.O.D. Irish State sales taxes will automatically be added to any applicable purchase. We do not ship to the UK or Worldwide.
CLAIMS AND EXCEPTIONS
Please inspect your package immediately upon receipt. All claims must be filed within 24 hours of receipt. We will do everything possible to re-route orders for timely delivery but cannot be responsible for damaged or compromised product due to the following:
Delayed deliveries due to weather or other "Acts of God"
Incorrect addresses (* Please be sure to include apartment, suite or floor numbers, as needed.)
Unopened shipments (all boxes are clearly marked "Perishable")
Gift shipments sent to recipients who are out of town or otherwise unavailable to receive their shipment. Please notify recipient of the pending arrival of perishables!
If desired, you can select a future delivery date during the checkout process.
During December and other peak periods, we require one additional day to process and deliver your order and will inform you of any unusual delay.
A personalised gift note can be included with all of our products at no extra charge. You will be prompted to write a gift message when your online order is sent to a different name than the one used for purchase. Please be sure to include a signature!
GIFT RECEIPT POLICY
If the order is being shipped to a recipient other than the billing name, it will not include pricing on the packing slip included with the order.
We offer regular gift cards, which can be posted at no cost anywhere in Ireland. These vouchers are only redeemable in On The Pigs Back stall in the English Market and in our Cafe in Douglas, Cork. Please enter 'collect' at the check out.
We also offer digital gift vouchers which are automatically sent by email to your recipient
Your order is packaged in insulated cartons and fitted with ice packs to ensure quality standards for up to 48 hours. Items ordered together are not necessarily shipped together. We ship all packages with Signature Release, so DPD will leave it at your door if you are not available to receive it. We cannot ship to PO Boxes. On The Pig's Back cannot be held responsible for non reception of perishable goods if the delivery address is not accurate or if there are nobody for receiving the parcel. All chilled products should have still frozen iced pack present in the parcel when opened. (temperature under 5/7 deg C)
Please note that to ensure quality, all cheese is cut to order. Cutting cheese is an art, not a science. We do our very best to cut as accurately as possible.
SUPPLYING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
On The Pigs Back collects information from you at several different points on our Web site in order to facilitate the delivery of services or the fulfillment of an order. There will be times, such as when placing an order, subscribing to a service, registering on the site, requesting a catalogue, at which we may request personal information such as your name, billing/shipping address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card information, etc. It is solely your choice whether or not you provide this information. However, should you choose not to provide the information, we may be unable to process an order, fulfill a service, or display certain content on our Web site.
INTERNAL USE OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION
On The Pigs Back uses collected information for internal use such as analysing trends and statistics, creation of your personalised "my account" section, and sending catalogues and newsletters by mail or e-mail.
EXTERNAL USE OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION
We use outside purveyors for some services such as shipping and credit card processing. In order to use these services we must provide them with some of your personal information. These companies work with us with the understanding that they are not permitted to retain, share, store or use your information for any purpose aside from assisting in your customer transaction with On The Pigs Back.
At times, we partner with third parties to provide specific services, such as sending our e-mail newsletters and mailing catalogues. When you sign up to receive newsletters or mailings, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These companies work with us with the understanding that they are not permitted to retain, share, store or use your information for any purpose aside from assisting in your customer transaction with On The Pigs Back.
This Web site takes precautions to protect your information.
When our registration/order form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the customary encryption software used in the ecommerce industry - SSL.
The physical Gift Cards for sale online are only redeemable in our retail locations.
Gift Cards do not qualify for coupon discounts, unless otherwise noted .
