The wines of Juliénas are rich and dark. This one, the "Roche Bleue" comes from Laurent Perrachon's Château de la Bottière, and has found favour with the Parker Guide, the Wine Spectator and many authoritative French guides such as the Guide Hachette. There are attractive bramble aromas and a spicy intensity that lasts and lasts. While retaining journalistic objectivity, here's the assessment of vins-du-beaujolais.com:
